Now for what I'm going to say I just want to tell you it's your choice how you play and all that. You don't need to have all good things or do what others think is the best choice. Play however you like. Like use whatever team you have you don't to change anything. But I'm just going to say what would be helpful in the Brave Battles.
Characters and Strategy: The best choice is to go for the Power, Speed, and Technique characters. When two Mind and Heart characters match up there is no advantage since they both gain the bonus. And with that in mind the strategy you should go with is Attribute. Not just you get that "10% extra focus" but with your Power, Speed, and Technique team you're able to have half of your damage added to your attack. And if the enemy isn't all those types of attributes then it's better for them to be matched up with no bonuses rather than going against the attribute stronger than you and only losing 1/4 of your damage. So to be specific with Characters a really strong team would be like hand to hand Genryusai, Academy Momo, and Grimmjow and if you're in Japan try a team like Stark, Ashido, and Halibel. Now if you're a starter with 3 or 4 star characters then I would use the attack strategy because it helps you be around or above other people in the league you are in.
Character Links: Look for character links that are able to function during the battle. So we don't need any healing links. If a character has a trait of Evasion, Recharge Time, Strong Attack Damage, Normal Attack Damage, Attack Damage, and Defense/Damage Taken then feel free to stack them. But if they don't have those the most useful out of those would be Normal Attack Damage and Damage Taken. So if you have Mashiro, VD Neliel, and Dordoni then that coul work. Combinations could depend on what you have though. The reason the buff reductions aren't part of this is because players could have a variety of characters with effects and they wouldn't effect gameplay as much so don't worry about using it. If the character in the team has a trait like that it would be fine since they're going to be fighting.
Accessories: Go for the ones that correlate to the stats which are the Gokkent Tekko for Attack, Cape for Defense, Cookie for Stamina, Memory Replacement for Focus, and Shinten for Spiritual Pressure. But like I said you could use anything. Like a Chappy Despenser wouldn't be that bad to use.
